Music Science Society is a society founded in 2025 within IZTECH.


Its objectives are:
Taking into account the technical institute identity of our university, to provide a scientific and technical approach to the field of fine arts, specifically music,

To support members of the society in creating inclusive, innovative, and original musical works rooted in tradition, by organizing trainings, workshops, seminars, and talks on tonal and maqam music theory, as well as on the historical development and applications of these musical systems,

To create the opportunities and spaces where members of the society, especially those residing on campus, can freely improve their musical skills, produce and perform their own music, by providing educational resources on various stages of music production such as composition, arrangement, recording, production, mixing, and mastering,

To enrich classical turkish music with polyphony and orchestrations while preserving its essence; to bring forgotten forms such as kâr, mevlevi ayini, nakış, peşrev back to light with a new interpretation,

To integrate music with fundamental science and engineering knowledge—from instrument making to the frequencies of notes.
